Shuffleboard Tables are a new purchase for many people, so we want to help you with your product search and table purchase. The following oulines some basic but helpful information about sizing and potential table layouts in your games room.

We suggest three placement possibilities:

1. In open space
2. Along a wall with space at both ends
3. In a corner, one direction play only

The dotted line indicated the ideal space needed for players.

The length of the table is only required for the players to move from end to end. It’s also a great space for spectators.

Shuffleboard tables require a long area of floor space, but are relatively thin in width. Many people think shuffleboards take up more room than billiard tables or ping pong tables, but are surprised when they see one positioned appropriately or even fitted neatly along a wall.

How much space is needed at the end of a shuffleboard table?
We recommend a minimum area of 1m (2-3ft) at both ends of a shuffleboard table, allowing you to position yourself accordingly when you’re playing. The more room at each end of the table the better though, because the more players and spectators at each end makes for a better atmosphere!

If your room falls just short for space at one of the ends of the shuffleboard, you can always push one end right up against the wall and play one-direction shuffleboard. Perfect play for the space conscious!

How much space do you need alongside a shuffleboard table?
We recommend a minimum of 2m (4-6ft) space alongside a shuffleboard table, allowing players to walk the table easily and allowing spectators to have plenty of room to watch. Avoid being cramped whenever possible!

If your room falls short for space on one side of a shuffleboard table, you can place the table up against the wall and leave space on the opposite side. Easy!
