LivingSocial, a daily-deals website with over 46 million members in 25 countries, is growing fast in a brand-new industry. The company (which is financially backed by Amazon) has close to 5,000 employees worldwide and around 900 in its new Washington DC headquarters, designed by OTJ Architects.
Thirty-year-old CEO Tim O’Shaughnessy wanted an office sap that expressed the company’s energetic vision, mirrored its urban setting, encouraged team collaboration and attracted Washington DC’s best experts. An easy task? They must have done something right, because Inc. Magazine awarded LivingSocial with its “World’s Coolest Office” accolade in its December 2011 issue.
Complete with colourful meeting rooms, skeeball games, a ball pit, plenty of desk space and a prestige shuffleboard table, employees are kept very busy and very happy…

I wish that was my office! I’d go to work a lot more happy (and often)
Wow, I hope this is a start of how offices will be in the future!
